Susan & Bela from Alberta, Canada enjoying super weather at Watmough Bay, Lopez Island
Like many of you, my wife Susan and I have been “Silent Dreamers” for several months now and have never posted anything. Firstly, we would very sincerely like to thank all of you “Dreamers” as well as “Owners” out there for your contributions to this very important and very informative forum. We have learned so much from your questions, queries and discussions, some serious, some fun, and, for that we are truly very grateful. Like many of you out there in “Dreamland” we have become totally immersed in all things Nordhavn, as we all should be, choosing to travel down this exciting path to fulfill our dream of the cruising and the passage making lifestyle.
We have read the books, the articles, and have watched the videos too many times to recollect, worn down our deck shoes walking the docks, and quite literally attended every class and seminar at Trawlerfest and various other boat shows. But, one of the most important, and the most valuable things we could have done to fuel the “Dream” was to “Charter” a Nordhavn for three full days of cruising in the beautiful San Juan Islands of the Pacific Northwest. Those three days aboard “Feisty Lady”, an absolutely stunning Nordhavn 47 cinched the deal for us. It reaffirmed our dream and burning desire to continue to pursue the Nordhavn cruising lifestyle. Captain Mike and Mary Kelley were the perfect hosts. They were professional, personable and incredibly accommodating and worked out the perfect itinerary, knowing full well that the intention and purpose of the charter was to glean as much knowledge and experience as possible in aiding us to make a wise and informed decision about turning our “Nordhavn Dream” into a reality.
We simply cannot say enough about our time out with the Kelley’s aboard “Feisty Lady”. The practical experience was invaluable, the boat was beautiful, the food was great, the weather was perfect, and best of all, we made two new lifelong friends who share the same passions and now share many wonderful memories together. Thank you Mike and Mary!
Also a very special thank you to our dear friends Todd and Cheryl who not only connected us with the Kelley’s and chartered “Feisty Lady” as well, but also just became the proud owners of an incredibly beautiful Nordhavn 55. Congratulations Todd and Cheryl on turning the “Dream” into a “Reality”!
So for all you undecided “Dreamers” out there, go to the Nordhavn website and click the drop down for “Charters” and check out the Nordhavn 47 “Feisty Lady” or go to www.feistyladycruising.com. Make the “Dream” become a reality!

I could not agree more with Bela and Susan's comments regarding chartering with the Kelley's aboard "Feisty Lady". The experience of a couple of days aboard with Mike and Mary solidified our desire to pursue the dream of owning a Nordhavn and becoming part of this amazing community.
Thank you to all the contributors to this forum and the Nordhavn family at large for continuing to fuel our fire. With the efforts of Devin Zwick at Nordhavn Northwest, we are excited to have closed on N5501 and currently spending time aboard and getting familiar with her in the PNW. We look forward to many memories being created and meeting many of you along our journey.
No time like the present to seek out your dreams and turn them into your reality.
